Recently we have seen plastered all over the media “new all time highs for the Dow Jones Industrial Average”. The media reports this as being negative, “the top is near”, “and it can’t go higher” or “watch out below”. Wouldn’t it be nice if the media could just report the facts, instead of giving a bias?

It is said that the market climbs a “Wall of Worry.” This means it often rises in spite of the negatives overhanging it. During the last couple of years this was certainly the case.

The first American to profit in trade with China did so a year after the Revolutionary War ended and Americans were free to trade outside the sphere of Britain’s influence.
